This vehicle was originally driven by Darin Brassfield to three Trans Am Series race wins and a third-place finish in the 1990 championship standings.

Purchased in late 2014, Ian Keeler needed a more competitive car with a good racing history, making it eligible to compete in Monterey Historics events. R&R Motorsports performed a full restoration over the winter in preparation for the 2015 season. The restoration included mounting an Oldsmobile body back on the frame, rebuilding every chassis component and building an engine.
