Ray Bonthron purchased this Boss 429 in 1973. The Mustang was entered in many drag race events until 1980 when Ray decided to park the car to begin his road racing career. In 2007 Ray decided it was time to begin the restoration of the Mustang.

It would ultimately take a total of 3,000 man hours across 11 years before the restoration was complete. It is a perfect example of a 1970 Boss 429 that would have come out of the Kar Kraft doors in 1969.
